UNE Neuroscience Club
Welcome to the UNE Neuroscience Club. 的 club caters to individuals who have an interest in all things neuroscience. 活动, fundraisers, and meetings are all centered around neuroscience-related events. All students are invited to join this club — not just neuroscience majors and minors.
的 Neuroscience Club typically meets two to three times per month.

k - 12外展
的 Neuroscience Club encourages all members to participate in the Center for Excellence in the Neurosciences' k - 12外展 Program. This program unites faculty, 工作人员, 毕业生, and undergraduate students while bringing interactive learning to area schools. 的 activities are designed to introduce such neuroscience topics as 解剖学 and 生理学, injury and injury prevention, 上瘾, 和认知. 学生 are trained by UNE 工作人员 and invited to go into local schools to teach students one of the many modules that the Neuroscience Center has developed.
UNE 大脑公平
的 Center for Excellence in the Neurosciences at UNE has created an annual 大脑公平 to engage the local community in brain exploration. 的 goal of the fair is to promote interest in STEM disciplines (neuroscience in particular) within the greater community. 学生, 工作人员, and faculty develop neuroscience-related hands-on activities and experiments for the general public, resulting in a science museum-like experience for the local community. 的 fair is held in celebration of Brain Awareness Week.
Southern Maine Brain Bee
的 Southern Maine Brain Bee is the first step in an international Brain Bee competition that brings together students from near and far to test their knowledge on brain-related topics. Hosted by the Center of Excellence in the Neurosciences, local high school students compete in a bee-like competition answering questions about the brain's: biology, 细胞功能, 解剖学, 生理学, 心理学, 和更多的. 蜜蜂之前, the Center for Excellence in the Neurosciences will host some activities to help participating students prep for the Bee.
All of these volunteer activities can be counted toward citizenship hours.
